The AcuRite 01021M Wireless Color Digital Rain Gauge features a self-emptying rain collector that wirelessly transmits rainfall, outdoor temperature, outdoor humidity, barometric pressure and lightning detection data to the indoor color display. The AcuRite 01021M Wireless Color Digital Rain Gauge displays temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius formats, the time with the month and day. Know how much water you are using to water your lawn, or find out what the latest storm brought to your home. The lightning detector provides outdoor temperature and humidity, along with visual and audible alert warnings for cloud-to-ground, cloud-to-cloud and intra-cloud lightning strikes within a 25 mile range. The lightning detector features enhanced interference rejection capabilities to prevent false lightning detection, along with a history of strikes detected today, current week and month. Perfect for gardeners and parents needing to know when to move the kids indoors.

I purchased this mainly for the lightning detector since Davis Instruments currently doesn't offer it with their stations,first thunderstorm tonight and it worked as expected! I will be purchasing the access hub next for mobile alerts!

It's a cool little deal. I have not set up the rain gauge since it's been snowing and really cold out. I will do that shortly when it warms up above freezing. I like the "weather station" in my office. I very happy with it so far.

Without going all out and getting a full weather station this is my idea of an excellent substitute. Easy to set up and use. It has enough features to provide you with very important and detailed information. I've been using this item for a week and a half in both dry and hot plus serious T-storms all sensors and the display work great. Well-lighted and optional alerts and records keep you informed. I'd recommend it!
