Display is very large and bright. Numbers are also large, but a bolder font would be nice. (It's not quite as bold as it looks in this picture) Our last weather station lasted less than a year, so I'm trying this different brand to see if Acurite will last longer.

needs special mounting angle to be practical.

This has a very nice highly visible color display as long as you are looking at the proper angle. If you hang it on the wall and view it from below or at an angle to the side the black numbers seem to disappear as is the case with many of these devices. I decided to make a trapezoid shaped mounting board to fit in the corner of the room which aims the unit towards the center of the room at a slightly downward angle. I can now read the screen from anywhere in the room and am very happy with this setup. I wish I could post a picture of this setup, it is shear genius if I may say so myself. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't need customized mounting.
