DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The decorative Conant VRG6 Series of Vermont/Decor Grande View Rain Gauges use a whimsical and attractive twisting stake to mount in soft ground or mounting ring to attach onto a post. The decorative rain gauge measures in 1/10 inch increments on front and 1 millimeter increments on the reverse. Image shows both mounting options for the magnifying rain gauge. Glass magnifies numerals 50 %. The collection funnel has a screen to keep out unwanted leaves and bugs. The glass vial is not recommended to be left out in freezing temperatures.

Great rain gauge. Living in the high desert where .25" of rain is a good rain, I was looking for a gauge that would accurately record small rainfalls. This is it. Now I have another reason to hope for rain!

So happy to have found a rain gauge that has large numbers. Just had a heavy rainfall and it was so easy to read. We have rocky "ground dirt" in Northern AZ, so have the gauge in a potted flower pot on our deck. Works great.
