Giving you the most accurate weather data available for your exact location. The La Crosse 327-1417BW has many features including an easy-to-read console that displays a clock and calendar, indoor/outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, "Feels Like" temperature (heat index and dew point), dynamic forecast icons and much more. With the TX141TH-BCHV3 wireless temperature and humidity sensor (sold separately) you may monitor two additional areas of your home, basement, attic, garage or another area outside. The console stands upright for tabletop use or is wall-mountable.

I like the idea of a wireless device, I put the unit on a 16' 2 x 4 fastened to a wood post so it is high in the air to get a more accurate reading for the future location of a wind generator, that's why being wireless is so nice for my situation.

Bought a $150.00 Ambient, wireless anemometer system...which after being set-up, would never agree with the Weather Channel Anemometer, located somewhere in my city. So, I was mystified, wondering if the Ambient, was defective or defective. I read the reviews on the LaCrosse wireless, which seemed to find favor with all the users. And I bought the LaCrosse wireless, mounting it around the corner from the Ambient. Well, not only do they not match, the LaCrosse, constantly indicates a wind-speed, four times slower than the Ambient...and shows a vastly different speed from the weather channel anemometer..(mine reads much slower)...So, now, I'm really bewildered. I don't believe either of my home anemometers....and with both of mine, located only a few yards apart, reading vastly different wind speeds...well, I think I wasted a lot of money...
