OVERVIEW

The stylish La Crosse Technology 616-146A Wireless Projection Alarm Clock features radio-controlled time and date, indoor temperature, on a colorful, fully backlit momentary EL (ElectroLuminescent) display for easy night viewing. The backlight is momentary when the station is operating under battery power or constant when using the included AC adapter (can be turned off). Time and Indoor Temperature alternately project in easy to read soft red digits onto the ceiling or wall of a darkened room.

The 616-146A also includes a time alarm with snooze function and the clock even updates for Daylight Savings Time and Leap Year! Use the integrated USB charging port to charge your devices when the weather station is plugged into a power outlet.

The instructions are easy to understand and I had no problem setting it up. I did have to move it to a better location because it initially was not receiving the time signal from Fort Collins, CO reliably. It now sets itself flawlessly. I haven't put the optional backup AAA batteries in so it had to restart from scratch after a recent power outage one afternoon. It spontaneously reset the time around 3:30 PM Eastern without any problem. I did have to reset my preferences for projection orientation and brightness as well as my choice to display time only. But battery backup will retain those settings. It has a beautiful color display and a very easy to read ceiling projection display. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this product.

We have a projecting clock with outside temp but also wanted one that had inside temp. At one point we had a clock that alternated both but it finally quit working and we have not been able to find another. So now we just have two clocks in the bedroom...no big deal. It works for us.
