Perfect replacement for my Stratus rain gauge

I inadvertently left rainwater in my overflow tube during a week of sub freezing weather, atypical for my location. It shattered my original tube. The original smaller tube and cover fit the replacement tube perfectly. They processed and delivered my replacement order very quickly.

Don't let it fall more than a few feet

It was good to replace just this one part of my rain gauge as I fumbled the original one and it fell about 12 feet, hit something hard, and broke. Probably the most precision gauge available.

The large cylinder I've had since 2006 (or before) finally got crazed due to solar UV -- as all plastics do, sooner or later. So I ordered a replacement cylinder, very nice, just like the original one. After I'd filed off the sharp corners on the projecting wings, which hold the cylinder in the support bracket, it slipped in easily. (I learned about those projecting sharp corners, and how to file them off, shortly after I joined CoCoRAHS.)

Just what I needed

I have one of these gauges and have years. The outer sleeve became clouded by the sun. I did not need a new gauge, just the sleeve. Everyone wanted to see me an entire gauge except Weather Shack. This was just what I was looking for and it arrived quickly!
