I like the product. I still don't understand where the "plastic sleeve" is, and I did find that the thermometer seemed to be reading several degrees higher than other instruments in my home or car so I did try and adjust it. I think I finally got it pretty well in sync with the other thermometers, but I didn't find the adjustment mechanism terribly smooth to operate.

Have by my kitchen window. I agree with others that longer mounting screws would help. The glass over the dial is very reflective of light coming from the kitchen that makes sometimes makes it hard to read. Also because the hash marks are thin it can take a second or two to get an accurate read. Maybe I need younger eyes. All in all though I'm happy with it.

It was time to replace my plastic outdoor thermometer with something more attractive that would also be long lasting. I like the mounting hardware design as it allows me to position the thermometer so it can be easily read. This is a quality instrument.
