DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Davis 7716 Mounting Tripod makes installation even easier. Brackets at the base of legs tilt to mount on roof or uneven terrain. Made of galvanized steel. Includes two 36.125" (0.92 m) - long poles, which may be used separately or together to make a single 69.75" (1.77 m) - long pole. Using both poles, the total height of the tripod is just over 7' tall. At the widest point, the base of the tripod is approximately 32" wide. 2" Lag Screws and sealing tar pad kit is included. For ground mounting use the Davis 7716A Mounting Tripod w/ 18" Lag Bolts.

Good stand, but we decided to drill a hole through where the two pipes come together, and put a bolt through it to keep the top pole from sliding out or rotating in the wind.

Easy and convenient

I have 2 tripods for weather stations in 2 locations. One is at hunting camp that periodically floods. The other at home. When flood comes (Mississippi River) I can easily take weather station and tripod to storage until water goes away. At home when I entertain guest I can move it out of there view!

Great tripod.

I mounted the weather station on the ground using this tripod. It seems to make it a lot more stable then a single pole. Very sturdy.
