OVERVIEW

The stylish La Crosse Technology 616-146 Wireless Projection Weather Station and Alarm Clock features radio-controlled time and date, indoor and outdoor temperature, on a colorful, fully backlit momentary EL (ElectroLuminescent) display for easy night viewing. The backlight is momentary when the station is operating under battery power or constant when using the included AC adapter (can be turned off). Time and Outdoor Temperature alternately project in easy to read soft red digits onto the ceiling or wall of a darkened room.

The 616-146 also includes a time alarm with snooze function and the clock even updates for Daylight Savings Time and Leap Year! Use the integrated USB charging port to charge your devices when the weather station is plugged into a power outlet.

Does what it is designed to do

This is my third one of these. My first had outside and temperature and time. It failed for some reason a few years of perfect service. Bought another but didnt realize that it was INSIDE temperataure and time. Bougt another and is great

The Wonders of this Product, with One Exception!

I have three (3) of these clocks. Two I use at home and the other I gifted to a relative. We are extremely satisfied, with the following exception. If the overhead projection would include the outside temperature, it would be an important improvement.

It is my 3rd one I suspect because the outside control doesn't last as long as the inside clock itself. Possibly due to weather conditions here in FL. It is protected from most weather but not all. The first clock lasted a long time. The second one lasted maybe 3 years and I am lost without it so just ordered another one.

Works even better than advertised

I've owned a number of indoor/outdoor thermometers, and the transmitters usually fail in fairly short order. But this one went beyond expectations and even rejuvenated an unrelated Acurite display, which is now receiving the signal from this transmitter and showing outdoor as well as indoor temperature. The ceiling projection feature is great, and all it needs is a tap when I go to bed and one when I wake up to set the projection to bright or dim.

This is one fabulous unit. Setup was fairly easy but I did need to go to LaCross website for manual so I could get a more detailed explanation of the setting buttons. The projected display is fabulous --so easy to read. Even with a night light it is bright enough. Whenever I wakeup at night I love seeing the time and temperature. Great unit don't hesitate to buy this beauty.
