DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The MK-III Mono Mount is a flexible mounting alternative to the standard 3-foot tripod. Its quick and easy to install and can be mounted on a pitched or flat roof as well as a vertical surface such as a gable ends. The MK-III Mono Mount is constructed from powder coated steel, aluminum and PVC. This mounting system is durable and stable. The slender design is simple and unobtrusive and is aesthetically pleasing. The adjustable base of the mount van be adjusted to mount on any pitch roof. This mount is designed specifically for the MK-III sensor assembly.

Mono Mount used for new Davis VP2 Transmitter

Already had a tripod on the garage roof for mounting the new anemometer but needed a mount for the main transmitter unit. Decided to try this. However, my roof gable was too short for the bracket so reinforced a section of soffit and mounted it there. Then I used some 1-1/4" PVC pipe and fittings to complete the design. Looks good and works well. Too bad there is no place to post pics of the fitup. Note the mount pipe sticks out horizontally from under the roof so I used the PVC to turn up from the end and provide a vertical mount.
