  • As with Davis's standard WeatherLink software, WeatherLinkIP software allows you to store, chart, graph, and analyze weather data in a multitude of ways.
  • View your current weather data online by automatically uploading your weather data to WeatherLink.com for FREE.
  • Store and graph your weather data online with an annual subscription.
  • Automatically upload data to third-party weather sites, such as WeatherUnderground, CWOP (Citizen Weather Observer Program), GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment), and others.
  • Set e-mail alerts for current weather or alarm conditions.
  • WeatherLinkIP is "plug-and-play," when used with Weatherlink.com. Simple configuration steps are required to upload to third-party weather sites or set e-mail alert conditions.
  • With the WeatherLinkIP software you may download the data to your PC for all the powerful charting, graphing, and analysis as our standard WeatherLink. With Extra User License Kits (available from Davis), you can even download the data independently to multiple PCs — ideal for schools, agriculture, scientific fieldwork, and remote locations.
  • Choose a storage interval of 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes. Your weather data is available for download from WeatherLink.com to your PC. WeatherLink.com will store up to two years worth of data, depending on your archive interval.
  • See current conditions at a glance on the instant weather bulletin, or graph data on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
  • Expanded reporting includes heating degree days, cooling degree days, and fuel-on-demand. Evapotranspiration, leaf wetness, soil moisture, soil temperature, sunburn risk for different skin types, and solar energy are all available with the use of optional sensors.
  • Create weather watcher reports in NOAA National Climatic Data Center format.
  • The Davis Weather 6555 WeatherLinkIP supports several accessories and-on modules (see the Accessories tab above).

Computer and WeatherLink.com Requirements:

  • Includes WeatherLinkIP software on a CD-ROM disk and a Ethernet data-logger with 5 foot (1.5m) cable.
  • Software requires a computer running Windows XP or later with at least 5MB free hard disk space and 4MB RAM.
  • Router or broadband modem with built-in router (contact your internet service provider for information on compatibility with their service) with a high-speed internet connection – cable, DSL or other broadband.
  • WeatherLink.com account

NOTE: If you only have a dial-up internet connection, WeatherLinkIP will not work.

WeatherLink Network

With WeatherLinkIP you can join the WeatherLink Network. The WeatherLink Network is Davis' global weather network with thousands of weather stations reporting. Each reporting station has its own page on the site, and is shown on a map as a temperature-color-coded dot that makes it easy to see temperatures worldwide. Click on a dot to see current weather conditions for that station. Each WeatherLink.com account also includes a private page with enough storage capacity to store up to two years' worth of weather data, depending on your archive interval. Adding your station to the WeatherLink Network is simple - no web skills needed! You can also access your data (and other weather stations) from the WeatherLink Network on an Android or iPhone.

5 stars Put your weahter data on the internet
This is a very well designed interface to put your weather data on the internet where friends can do one click and see the weather at your house. It constantly pushes your weather data up the net to the Weather-link server where it can be shared with other weather sites, if you wish to permit such. No computer or software is needed to share your data, this runs on power from your display unit and connects your display unit directly to the internet. This is a great idea and highly recommended for those who are weather watchers.

3 stars Great but
I was disappointed to learn this software is not compatible with new wireless Davis device for collecting data. This is expensive software that in my opinion should be capable of reading and using data from All Davis Devices. They let me down here and themselves also as another purchase was imminent until I found their device won't work with this software.

3 stars Wish there was another option for internet connection
Once this hardware and software was hooked up (some issues with Windows 10 computer), it works great. I gave it three stars because I felt it was very expensive and software was basic.

The Ethernet Data-Logger works good. The Data is immediately updated on the computer as on the console. I also like the options for downloading data.

3 stars Davis e-logger
Easy installation. Didn't need the software, or use it. Was transmitting to WU and CWOP 24/7 right away. Expensive, though, and doesn't work with some internet weather applications such as PWS.

4 stars Davis WeatherLinkIP
The product is good once you figure out the installation process. The instructions are not very clear explaining the difference between the PC software and the Weatherlink internet connection. The uploads to the internet are not as frequent as advertised but they do work.

4 stars Davis Ethernet logger
No 24/7 running PC is going to save me money and will pay for this software in the long run. Setup was straightforward, joined WeatherLink.com and found the link to upload, this part was not clear. The only issue I have is the subscription to upload data.you can choose to upload for free (every 15 minutes) or upgrade to Pro which is $3.95 or $8.95 depending how fast you want to upload, I chose Pro for $3.95 which is every 5 minutes. I may have looked elsewhere if their is something that uploads for free, but pretty much happy with my purchase. I think this information should be shared prior to purchase, that's why I took off a star, otherwise the software is awesome.

5 stars Davis Ethernet Data-Logger w/ Windows WeatherLinkIP Software
Easy setup into an existing, and older, Envoy and works exactly as described. Great to have the functionality to view wx data remotely. The associated Weatherlink ap is very good in function and appearance and allows summary viewing of multiple locations. Weathershack customer/tech support and shipping was, as historically been the case for at least me, great.

5 stars Great Software, worth every penny
I love the nice graphical display of the data. I love the app for my phone. I love the IP based connectivity. Super easy and fun to setup. It beats the old version of trying to ftp it up to your website and looking at the data with like a was slightly above a Windows 3.1 display. I will be buying another Ethernet Data-Logger for my older Pro2. Can't wait to get it up and running on this connectivity as well.
